Do you have a portfolio with your work?

What service do you recommend for first time clients? 

The Curly Haircut with a Hydrating Wash and Go Styling Lesson, the Curly Haircut with Moisture Therapy, the Curly Haircut with an Olaplex Treatment, or the Curl Love Deluxe Experience are the best bets for first time clients. 

In those sessions, your hair will be analyzed and you will learn what your hair needs are based off of the condition that it is in at your appointment.


Would you recommend a treatment service for first time clients?

If your hair hasn't been on a proper schedule for haircuts every 3 or 4 months, if your hair is suffering from major heat or chemical damage, or if your hair is coated in heavy butters, oils, and plastics, I recommend doing a Curly Haircut with an Olaplex Treatment to alleviate the damage. Keep in mind, a one time treatment won't do the trick without a full Curly Haircut service.


Is a dry curly cut right for me?

If you wear your hair most of the time curly, a dry curly cut will help give your curls a beautiful shape to amplify your natural curls.


Are your prices the same for short curly hair as they are for longer curly hair?

Yes, the prices are the same no matter the hair length.


How long are appointments?

Haircut and treatment appointments are usually 1 to 3 hours long depending on the density, texture, porosity, and current state of the hair.


How do I book a hair color appointment?

I am NOT offering haircolor services at this time.


What is your availability?

I book appointments out ONLY 2 MONTHS at a time. For example, September and October, November and December, January and February, etc.

I am currently booked until MAY 2019. If you’re unable to book a service that is because I do not have enough time in my calendar to fit you in due to the time slot being booked already or I am not working.

If you try to request an appointment that is outside of the 2 months that open on booking days (Ex: September and October open on booking day, but you request a January appointment) your request will be AUTOMATICALLY DENIED.

Do you have a waiting or cancellation list?

Yes! The waitlist is ONLY for new clients that DO NOT have a scheduled appointment OR current clients that have had to reschedule or cancel their scheduled appointment.

CURRENT CLIENTS:

If you have to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you will have to add yourself to the waitlist.

Please understand that this is a waitlist and if there is an opening due to a cancellation, that is what this waitlist is used for.

If an opening becomes available for your requested time frame, be prepared to pay your appointment deposit that is required to secure your appointment request. Your appointment invoice will be sent to you via Square services. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE INVOICE IS DUE WITHIN 4 HOURS FROM WHEN THE INVOICE IS INITIALLY SENT TO YOU. If the deposit is not paid in the allotted time frame, your request will be automatically cancelled and offered to another client.

To add yourself to a Waitlist when a time slot is not available, follow these steps:

  • Once you get to the booking page of the business, select the Services tab to add yourself to the waitlist of an appointment. Click the Classes tab to add yourself to the waitlist of a class. 

  • Once you found the item you want to book, click Book Now.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Then select Add to Waitlist. 

  • Select the Service Provider. Select a time frame you prefer. You can select AnytimeMorningAfternoon or Evening. Then select a date on the calendar. You can select up to 5. Click Add to Waitlist when you're finished. 

Once you click Add to Waitlist, you'll get a confirmation of the booking.


How do I arrive & prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive with your hair freshly washed, fully detangled (there is a detangling fee if excessive detangling is necessary), fully dry, and with a minimal amount of light styling products (no oils or heavy butters) in your hair and worn in the wash and go fashion. 
If you are unsure of what a wash and go is, check out wash and go tutorials on YouTube.

Please wear your hair down with NO braids, buns, twist or braid outs, headbands, ponytails, updo styles, or any style that will alter your curl pattern.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW MY HAIR PREPARATION: 
I have the liberty to CANCEL and RESCHEDULE your appointment if the hair preparation is not followed as I have requested.

Should I do anything to my hair before my appointment day with you? 

Yes! I highly recommend detoxing your hair (meaning,clarifying your hair) if you are using any of the following product lines or products in your hair: 

Shea Moisture, Aussie, Cantu, Wen, Ecostyler, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, or any products with super heavy oils and butters in them. 

I recommend detoxing your hair at least 2 weeks before your appointment day. Doing so will help you achieve the best results for your wash and go styling service with me. 

Kinky Curly Come Clean Clarifying Shampoo or Malibu C Undoo Goo is great for detoxing your hair.

How do I book my appointment?

I thought I booked an appointment online, but I did not receive a confirmation text or email?

If you DO NOT receive a confirmation, there is NO APPOINTMENT booked for you as that slot is no longer available.

I tried to book an appointment online, but I did not see any availability?

The appointment time requested has been filled and is no longer available.

I open up my books 2 months at a time only.

If you are looking for an appointment outside of that range, you will not see any availability as it is not open yet.

What happens if I have to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:

If you have to reschedule or cancel your appointment time, you have forfeited your appointment time and you will have to wait to book your next appointment once the next available online booking date becomes available.

Please keep in mind that there is NO GUARANTEE of an opening for your rescheduled/cancelled appointment.  


How do I handle contacting you on your business phone number?

My business phone number is for TEXTS ONLY.

Please understand that if you call the business phone during working hours, I will be unable to answer because I am in the middle of a service with a client.

You are welcome to TEXT ONLY during business hours and when I get a free moment I will get back to you. If you call or text me outside of business hours I will respond back ONLY during normal business hours so please be mindful & courteous of my time.

If you have an emergency or are running late for your scheduled appointment day, please call or text 803-714-3294.

Keep in mind that if you are running 5 minutes or more I have the liberty to reschedule your appointment as I am running on a schedule to accommodate each client on time.


I’m trying to book online for a service but it isn’t allowing me to even though it says there’s a slot available?

The online booking scheduler allows booking depending on how long the service will be.
If it is not allowing you to book, please choose another day and/or time.

 


Do you offer consultations? 

For scheduled appointments, the consultation will be offered at the beginning of the service.


Do you do any other styles besides a wash and go?

No, I only do wash & go styling. I do not do twist outs, braid outs, “protective” styles, braids, blowouts, or flat ironing services.


Do you offer chemical services to make your client’s hair curly or straight?

I do not perform any chemical processes (relaxers, perms, keratin treatments, etc) that compromise the health of my client’s hair.


Are the curly haircuts transferable to straight hair?

As a curly hair specialist, I advise my clients to fully commit to the healthy hair and curly world.

The blow frying world isn’t worth the heat damage it creates for your beautiful curls. Heat styling compromises the health of your hair by over manipulating & dehydrating your curls.

If you desire to wear your hair curly most of the time, getting a curly cut is
going to give your hair the best shape. 
Some of you may notice that when you get a “straight hair” cut your curls
are not in the best shape when they worn in their natural state. 

The same goes for curly cuts, if you plan to transition back
to straight hair you may have some differences in the length due to the shrinkage factor of your hair.

Do you offer education for stylists?

Yes, one-on-one classes are available and I also travel per request for stylists. Please email kristyramoshair@gmail.com for more information.


Do you offer services for children?

Are prices adjusted differently for children?

Yes, I offer my services for children 4 years old and up. Please keep in mind that if your child is unable to sit still or are extra tender-headed, they may not be ready for a service at this time.

Prices are the same for children and adults.
